As one of the leading manufacturers of components and systems for electrical engineering and automation, Eaton has expanded its RMQ-Titan range of control circuit devices with the addition of new emergency-stop palm buttons, pushbutton actuators and M22 emergency-stop/off buttons.

The new emergency-stop palm buttons are available in widths of 45 and 60 mm and with a number of options such as with or without key, turn to reset, non-illuminated or illuminated and standard LEDs or mechanical switch position indication (green/red) in the middle of the actuating element. This last feature enables unambiguous switch position indication when mounting the emergency-stop button in a guard ring.

Features of the new emergency-stop pushbutton actuators include the option of an illuminated ring which can be used to ensure their position is indicated as clearly as possible on a machine or plant, even in dark environments. The illuminated ring also indicates the machine’s operating state reliably, even from a long distance. For example, when tripped, three separately controllable LED rows can be activated as a running light. The possibility of individually labelling the illuminated ring using the Labeleditor software will also soon be available.

The new M22 emergency-stop/off buttons offer IP67 and IP69K protection and are tamper-proof in compliance with EN ISO13850. They also meet European and international safety standards in accordance with EN60204 and IEC60204. Approval to UL/CSA and approvals for shipboard use from Germanische Lloyd and Lloyd’s Register of Shipping are all in preparation.
