Eldor UK Ltd (EUKL) and Tierney Strachan Consulting Ltd (TSCL) have announced a partnership agreement to work together supporting North Sea operators. EUKL and TSCL are co-located in East Tullos industrial estate in Aberdeen and will be working on projects where the opportunity allows them to draw on one another’s respective skills.

TSCL are a systems integrator, established some 17 years ago and based in Aberdeen. FocusingConcentrating on process control applications, TSCL also provides a comprehensive range of control systems services covering all phases from conception to spares across a wide range of industries including Topsides and Subsea control systems; PLC/Telemetry and Panel Building and Assembly.

EUKL are an Aberdeen-based subsidiary of Eldor Holdings, a Norwegian specialist supplier of technology, services and helping customers to extend the lifetimes of their E&P assets. Eldor was founded in 2005, working with clients across the Norwegian continental shelf; they announced their arrival in the UK market in mid-2015 and support customers with integrated operations projects (including remote control), alarm management and decision support technology, control system obsolescence and functional safety studies as well as the digitialisation of operational management and production optimisation.

There have been large-scale changes in the Oil and Gas industry here in the North Sea (for both operators and suppliers) over the recent past, caused not just by the price slump but also the increasing fragmentation of the production business. This partnership between EUKL and TCSL is part of a new way of business for suppliers, something that can offer specialist skills without the overhead and burden of larger scale supply or engineering service companies.  This agreement represents a way for both companies to increase the offering to their respective existing customer base, bringing together more than fifty deeply experienced engineers and process experts, and reach out to new clients. TCSL and Eldor strongly believe that by working together they can more flexibly deliver greater value and higher quality into the UKCS market. In this way customers are able to leverage their broad-range of skilled and experienced workforces and be provided with an end-to-end, one-stop shop, capability, across systems and disciplines.
