Product identification and traceability specialist Domino will show its new i-Tech intelligent technology product range and launch its a high performance scribing laser and a cassette version of its V-Series thermal transfer overprinter at Interpack 2011 (12-14 May, Düsseldorf, Germany).

Currently rolling out globally, i-Tech products are designed to deliver maximum productivity and value, deploying an array of smart technologies to make production lines lower maintenance, lower cost and more efficient. Domino’s D620i offers a new high-speed option which allows users to achieve 20 per cent greater throughput. The i-Tech scan head is positioned at an angle of 45° relative to the direction of travel of packs on the line, thereby increasing the available linear marking area. The V220i thermal transfer overprinter brings Domino’s patented ribbon economy to a wide range of potential applications in flexible packaging. The potential uptime of the V-Series is boosted by the cassette mechanism of the V220i. The new V-Series is capable of using up to 60 per cent less ink ribbon than its predecessor and weighs 50 per cent less.

A further interpack highlight is the A320i continuous ink jet printer. By incorporating an array of i-Tech intelligent Technology features, Domino has delivered a printer that completely eliminates the need for planned servicing. The printer uses 90 per cent less system ink and 50 per cent less ink solvent than its predecessor. The A320i is also 40 per cent lighter and incorporates energy-saving software.
