Once again this year, SPS IPC Drives will provide  industry visitors with a comprehensive overview of individual components and complete solutions for electrical automation. Furthermore, it highlights the pioneering technologies of the future. Over 1,600 exhibitors, including many key players in the industry, will be participating in SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg on 22 – 24 November 2016

Visitors to SPS IPC Drives benefit from the broad range of products and systems on offer and the in-depth knowledge of the exhibitors’ personnel on the stands. Visitors were very positive about the 2015 event: “The arrangement and variety of the exhibitors, as well as the proficient staff on the stands make it a joy to visit SPS IPC Drives, where I can obtain comprehensive information,” says Peter Viezens, sales and marketing director, CML Technologies.

“This trade fair is an excellent opportunity to acquire up-to-date information on all topics concerning automation and drive technology. An absolute must for all those who operate within this field. The continuously rising numbers of exhibitors and visitors speak for themselves,” says Thomas Ketschau, electrical and media planner, scia Systems.

Focus on Industrie 4.0

Due to its positive reception last year, and the increasing challenges faced by industrial production, Hall 3A is once again the showcase for the ‘Industrie 4.0 Area’.

“The use cases of the Industrie 4.0 Area are selected in such a way that you can identify small steps which enable you to develop on an evolutionary basis in the direction of Industry 4.0. This is of great benefit to machine builders,” explains Dr Peter Adolphs, CEO, Pepperl+Fuchs.

The Industrie 4.0 Area offers visitors a wide range of opportunities for obtaining information focusing on digitalisation and intelligent networking of production.

The ‘Automation meets IT’ joint stand and forum presents data-based business models as well as IT-based solutions from the world of automation en route to the digital production of the future. The ‘MES goes Automation’ joint stand shows how order processing and production processes can be optimised through the use of MES. For the first time, this special presentation has been enhanced by the presence of companies from the field of cyber security, such as Airbus Defence and Space, the German Federal Office for Information Security, and Kaspersky.

Joint stands and forums inspire new momentum

On the joint stands ‘AMA Center for Sensor Technology, Measurement and Testing Technology’ in Hall 4A and ‘Wireless in Automation’ in Hall 10, visitors can obtain specific and comprehensive information on the respective topics. In addition, they can use this opportunity to exchange ideas with vendors on an individual problem or specific topic.

The trade fair forums at SPS IPC Drives also offer the highest level of expertise: In qualified specialist presentations and podium discussions, the ZVEI and VDMA associations in Halls 2 and 3 respectively address topics that are relevant to the user industries. In this way, they facilitate an exchange of knowledge and experience at the highest level.
