Baldwin Engineering Group are pleased to announce the acquisition of CR Solutions, adding another respected name to its growing portfolio of UK manufacturing and engineering businesses.
The acquisition was completed on 9th December 2025, following a period of strategic discussions. CR Solutions, which has built a strong reputation for high-quality robotics and automation solutions, will bring valuable expertise to the Baldwin Engineering Group and support its ongoing growth plans across multiple industries.
CR Solutions now joins an established group of companies that includes Sugden Ltd, manufacturers of production equipment for pancakes, English Muffins, Crumpets, Potato Cakes, Stroop Waffles, Fun Cakes and Waffles, and Baldwin Technical Services, specialists in control panels, bulk material handling systems and industrial automation.
The addition of CR Solutions will strengthen the group’s in-house manufacturing capabilities and further enhance its ability to deliver tailored engineering solutions across food production, automotive, aerospace and pharmaceutical.
Shaun Drew, Director of Baldwin Technical Services, will be overseeing day-to-day sales and operations of CR Solutions alongside his existing role within the group. This approach will bring great value to the businesses, enabling closer collaboration on projects while maintaining strong operational leadership. Mark Smith, former Technical Director of CR Solutions will remain closely involved with the company, providing ongoing technical expertise and supporting the delivery of automation and robotics projects across the business.
