turck1Never mind the buzz words such as one stop shop, turnkey package and agreed performance spec, we’ve heard these many times before. But behind the jargon which companies can truly deliver and keep your systems working in harmony? Leading sensing, control and automation equipment supplier, Turck Banner has the answer

In a global market Turck Banner is able to offer control and automation products and indeed complete systems to a diverse range of market sectors, and it’s a much larger offering than the sensing technologies for which they are generally known.

SYSTEMS IN HARMONY

The Turck Banner approach to systems is simple. Supplying a system means supplying a solution to the customer’s problem, not simply selling a piece of kit. Turck Banner offers support every step of the way, from initial site survey to the fully functional design.

The compatibility of component parts in a system is a vital issue. Customers require complete handshake compatibility within their system, no more problems with the remote IO not talking to the PLC, for example. Turck Banner is able to provide this assurance. Furthermore, single point ordering further alleviates compatibility and delivery issues. On average 90 per cent of the parts used on a system are Turck Banner’s own products.

DESIGN AND INTEGRATION EXPERTISE

The role of Turck Banner in the systems market is to offer design and integration expertise based upon a vast range of quality products including HMIs, Bus Systems, RFID, Ex Interface, Lighting & Indication, Cables & Connectors and, of course sensors.

Buzz words change with the passage of time, but customers will always require reliable, risk free systems with continuous support.

turck2ZIP WORLD CASE STUDY

A typical example of the expertise and flexibility of the systems support team is an installation carried out at Zip World, a high zip wire adventure recreational facility in Wales.

Richard Manchett, general manager of Zip World said: “Acting on the advice of the HSE we required a method of reliably logging and tracking equipment to each of our guests. We quickly realised that this was far from the routine manufacturing scenario and after an exhaustive search we contacted Turck Banner. They listened to our requirements and came up with exactly the right system.

“We were impressed by the quality and durability of the hardware which is vital in the harsh environments that we work in. Furthermore, they were with us throughout installation and commissioning and continue to advise us as our requirements change. Turck Banner has a reputation for delivering reliable system solutions and they certainly lived up to it at Zip World.”

turck3UNIQUE ADVENTURE

Zip World is about living life a little more adventurously and having fun with friends and family in the most unique ways.

Zip World won international acclaim when it opened Zip World ‘Velocity’ at Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda in March 2013. Offering riders the closest experience a human being can get to skydiving without actually leaping out of a plane.

It involves flying head-first for just under a mile, exceeding speeds of 100mph down a mountain and then straight over a cliff, 500-feet above the quarry lake with spectacular views as far as Ireland.

FIRST FOUR PERSON ZIP LINE

The new Zip World ‘Titan’, at Llechwedd Slate Caverns, near the historic slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog opened in 2014. This is the first four person zip line in Europe where riders have three individual zip lines to complete.

The first zip line gives panoramic views of Snowdonia as you travel over moor land. The second has a huge drop of 500-feet and is also the quickest line, while the third finishes at the top of the hill, overlooking the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog.

turck4BOUNCE BELOW

At the same time that Titan was opened and in the same location, Zip World also opened the world’s first subterranean playground called ‘Bounce Below’. Bounce Below consists of giant trampolines, walkways, slides and tunnels all made from netting and suspended in a slate cavern hidden underground.

The Zip World portfolio of adventures continues to grow and 2015 saw another world first, Zip World ‘Caverns’. Zip World Caverns is home to a series of exhilarating underground zip lines, rope bridges, obstacles and tunnels. It has been built in vast caverns that were first excavated nearly 200 years ago and have remained largely unchanged. Zip World offers the ultimate day out or short break and is a truly unique adventure.
