Beckhoff to showcase MX-System and its application-led solutions
Beckhoff UK will exhibit at the All-Energy Exhibition and Conference, the UK’s largest event for renewable energy and low-carbon technologies, from May 13 to 14, 2026. Located on stand J39 at the SEC Centre in Glasgow, Beckhoff will showcase its MX-System, highlighting how control cabinet-free automation can support more efficient, scalable energy and infrastructure projects.
At All-Energy, Beckhoff will present a range of products, including its MX-System, a control cabinet-free automation platform. Designed to enable faster installation through a plug-and-play approach, the system has all the functionality of a traditional control cabinet while minimising cable runs and machine footprint. Its standardised and globally certified design allows it to be deployed across different regions without modification.
Visitors to the stand will see a live demonstration of the MX-System’s modular, cabinet-free design and how it integrates with other Beckhoff technologies, such as the XTS, for more demanding applications. It aims to provide a clear understanding of how control cabinet-free automation can be implemented in real-world environments by reducing engineering complexity, saving space and improving installation efficiency without compromising performance.
The demonstration will show visitors how individual modules combine to form complete automation functions within a single system architecture. This includes how power supply, control and I/O elements are brought together in a modular format that enables users to build application-specific configurations from standardised components.
“The MX-System is designed to remove the limitations associated with traditional control cabinet design,” said Alan Smith, regional manager at Beckhoff UK. “At All-Energy, we want to show how that translates into practical benefits in real applications, particularly where efficiency and adaptability are essential.”
Smith will be joined by business development manager Adam Carless and application engineer Jamie Withers on stand J39 throughout the show to discuss how the MX-System can be applied to real-world industrial challenges. Visitors can register for the event through the All-Energy website.
