Inmoco has added to its range of high-performance digital servo drives from Elmo Motion Control with the DC Trombone. Based on Elmo’s advanced SimplIQ motion control technology, the DC Trombone operates directly from the mains and delivers no less than 7kW of continuous qualitative power.

The DC Trombone is said to be suitable for integration into any motion system, either standalone, or multi-axis, providing a high performance motion control unit for use with sinusoidal, trapezoidal and DC motors.

Despite its compact footprint, the Trombone is feature-rich, offering high power density, and integrating vector control sinusoidal commutation, advanced filtering and velocity gain scheduling for enhanced dynamic performance. These features, plus programming flexibility, CANopen networking and wide range of feedback options, make the Trombone a suitable OEM servo drive.

At the heart of the DC Trombone is Elmo’s SimplIQ technology. Combining advanced motion control with real-time networking capabilities, and delivering feedback and I/O options and programming capabilities, SimplIQ enables the DC Trombone to bring increased precision to a wide range of automated applications, including robotics, machine tools, packaging, semiconductor production and materials handling.
