EyeVision from EVT now supports the EyeScan ML 3D scanner. The image processing software EyeVision contains special 3D commands, which can not only capture an image but also can convert them into 2 ½ D images and can generate and evaluate 16-Bit point clouds.
The EyeVision software is graphically programmable machine vision software to solve measurement and inspection tasks.
The EyeScan ML 3D is able to offer an accurate z-resolution of up to 0,0025 mm and an also accurate x-resolution of up to 0,021 mm. The output rate is 6000 Hz.
The ML scanner is a laser triangulation sensor for scanning profiles and for applications such as solder paste inspection, gap inspection, profile measurement, evaluation of thickness, width measurement, fill level evaluation, etc.
An example is to solder pipelines; where long steel stripes are pressed into a pipe and the gap is soldered. With the EyeScan ML 3D a scan line is created across the solder line and with the EyeVision 3D software the scanner data is evaluated and sent to the motor control unit.
Also the gap inspection is easily handled with the EyeScan ML 3D sensor. For example for the quality control of car body parts and doors of cars and other vehicles 3D sensor is necessary for visual as well as aerodynamic reasons. Due to the usage of laser scanners, which send the measurement data actively to the positioning process, the quality of the product is guaranteed.
New EyeSens ZQ vision sensor with powerful ZYNQ hardware
EVT presents the new EyeSens series. The EyeSens ZQ vision sensors are much smaller than the usual EyeSens sensor. But despite the miniature design, they are powerful, due to the ZYNQ hardware inside.
Due to the powerful ZYNQ processor with dual Core ARM units, the EyeSens ZQ can solve image processing tasks faster than lesser vision sensors. Suitable applications would be for example:
- Code reading (DMC, QR, Barcode)
- OCR/ OCV
- Color Inspection
- Measurement Technology
- Pattern Matching / Contour Matching for Robot Vision
- Counting Objects
Due to the small size, lightweight and integrated lighting, the EyeSens ZQ is suited for areas where only a small space is available such as on a robot arm.
The EyeSens ZQ comes with EyeSens software and the complete EyeVision software platform. Additionally, the camera offers the option of an integrated FPGA, which is important for the fast preprocessing of image information.
The creation of an inspection program is very easy. With the drag-and-drop graphical user interface, there are no programming skills needed.
