Hepcomotion have announced the launch of their very first blog site from Giles Forster, the third generation chairman of this family run, international engineering firm.
Giles is stepping into the online ’blog world’ to highlight the goal he has of doubling the size of this already substantial manufacturing firm.
Launched only this week, the first blog posts have already created some interest from new readers as Giles is currently travelling through China to oversee the opening of his latest branch office (and first in Asia). As you can imagine, there are numerous challenges to overcome in this new market.
“Although I am a little late to the blog ‘party’ I do think this is an important strand for our marketing and business where I can get a more personal message across to our customers and suppliers,” said Giles Forster, chairman of HepcoMotion. “By having this new space to talk about business from a leadership perspective, I am able to offer both business and product information to support our sales and marketing teams.”
Giles is understandably excited, yet apprehensive about this new challenge saying, “The way you reach a blogging audience is completely new to me and I want to always remain relevant and interesting to all our followers. I intend to show a unique perspective on engineering, and indeed business, that shows Hepco off as the company we are. Running a family business this size is also personally challenging and I want to be able to show the personal processes that happen for me as I focus on the growth we want to achieve.”
HepcoMotion has certainly seen great performance figures recently with a growth of 4% in 2014. Giles continued, “Our traditional markets are growing but so too are the newer sectors such as Oil & Gas, Electronics, Architecture and of course Renewable Energy. Our best selling products continue to be our core products based on the V principle. I hope I can show that on my blog from an interesting business perspective.”
