Following on from the success of the launch of these conferences in 2013, the Automation team at Hitex (UK) Ltd are hitting the road again in 2014 with 3 exciting new venues and a new and improved agenda. These roadshow-style conferences focus on factory automation and Fieldbus implementation and will also offer the chance to talk to the experts on a 1-2-1 basis about specific issues or projects that delegates may have.

Meet the experts
New for 2014 we are introducing the opportunity to arrange one-to-one meetings during the course of the day to discuss your specific needs, alongside the program of speakers and hands-on workshops. This is to ensure that every delegate comes away from the day with clear next steps to resolve any issues they may have within their factory network environment.

The events will be supported by experts from Softing, Lineview and Control Specialists alongside the Hitex Automation team. All these experts will be available to book one-to-one sessions with at various times throughout the course of the day.

Agenda
The day will consist of a mixture of 1-2-1 discussions with experts, presentations and round-table discussions. The aim of the day is to provide as much help and guidance as possible on issues surrounding factory connectivity and efficiency. There will be experts available throughout the day for detailed discussion, as well as scheduling more open round-table style discussions mixed in with the overall presentations.

This will be a very interactive day designed to deliver a real sense of moving your project or issue forwards towards resolution. There will not be death by PowerPoint, we promise!

The agenda will include topics such as:

  • Network diagnosis and monitoring tools for Industrial Ethernet, CAN, PROFINET and PROFIBUS
  • PROFINET and other Ethernet-based communication protocol
  • PID loop optimisation using PROFIBUS
  • CAN and CANopen in an industrial environment
  • Data management and database connectivity solutions
  • OPC and OPC UA servers, clients and development kits
  • Connecting the factory floor to the corporate IT network, MES and SAP
  • Improving OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) via data visualisation

Exhibition
There will also be a small exhibition to complement the agenda. This will provide an opportunity to explore the other areas of expertise our presenters, trainers and speakers cover and will also further enhance the level of learning achieved on the day. Exhibitors so far include Softing, Control Specialists and Lineview with more to be confirmed soon.

If you feel that you would benefit from becoming an exhibitor then please contact Tanya Wrycraft to discuss in more detail.
