Both the analogue measured value and the switching output are freely programmable via IO-Link or directly on the new infrared temperature sensor. The sensitivity is also easy to set remotely or directly on the sensor. In addition, ifm electronic has equipped the new TW21 series devices with a pilot light as a setting aid for precise orientation.

Non-contact temperature measurement: The new device shows its strength above all with exact temperature measurement of particularly hot objects or objects that are difficult to access, such as in the steel, plastics or glass industries. The green pilot light is easily visible even on red-hot surfaces. The sensor also features a simulation mode that can be directly triggered on the sensor or via an external control signal.

Batch-related programming: Parameters can be dynamically adjusted to the application from the control room using the integrated IO-Link communication interface. Local parameter setting on the unit is not necessary, but can be done via the buttons and display.  The new infrared temperature sensor from ifm is available  in different variants for different temperature ranges.

ifm is committed to working closely with its customers to develop products which precisely match their needs, and the company provides expert, readily accessible technical support to help users maximise the benefits they gain from ifm products.
