The EA eDIPTFT43-ATC (4.3”) and EA eDIPTFT70-ATC (7.0”) intelligent high-contrast displays are now available with a capacitive or resistive touch-screen. Touch is detected whether or not the user is wearing gloves. The display with capacitive screen is designed for day-to-day use in harsh industrial environments with a 6H surface hardness making it scratch resistant. The capacitive version is usable in environments where strong cleaning agents are used and traditionally resistive touch-screen could not be used. These intelligent displays include many clever graphics functions to speed up development such as commands to design gauge or bar graph style instruments. The on-board interface is serial, I2C and SPI with extra digital I/O and 2 analogue ports. The EA EVALeDIPTFT evaluation kit includes free LCD development software with interface boards for USB, RS-232 and RS-485. Available from MMS Electronics Ltd.
