Industrial-grade Kontron ZINC19 Rackmount Series in 2U and 4U Rack Units based on 6th Generation Intel® Core™ or Intel® XEON® Processors
Kontron, a leading global provider of Embedded Computing Technology (ECT) has introduced a new rackmount series for industrial and medical applications. Based on the Intel® C236 chipset, the Kontron ZINC19 rackmount series supports 6th Generation Intel® Core™ and Intel® Xeon® processors, making it a perfect fit for complex control and computing tasks. Demanding graphics and image processing applications are made possible by a number of optional high-performance graphic cards. The system is specifically designed for continuous operation in rough industrial environments and can withstand exposure to extended shock, vibration and temperature levels.
Available in the rackmount form factors 2U and 4U, the ZINC19 series can be customized to meet individual customer needs thanks to their modular structure and numerous expansion slots. Up to five PCIe and two PCI slots allow for a wide variety of options, including a 10 GBit/s expansion card and a set of high-performing graphic cards. The ZINC19 rackmount systems can be equipped with a number of internal and removable SSD or HDD drives. With 6th Generation Intel Core processors or Intel Xeon E3-1200 v5 CPUs, up to 64 GB main memory is supported with error correcting code memory (ECC) as an option. Due to their high shock and vibration tolerance, the ZINC19 rackmount series is ideally suited for 24/7 operation in rough environments including an extended temperature range of 0°C to 50°C. Its optimized thermal design allows for quiet operation in noise-sensitive areas where operators are present.
Kontron`s service portfolio includes active change management from change notifications to Frozen BOM (bill of material) as well as device modifications and even custom device development. The ZINC 19 rackmount series supports Linux and can be ordered with pre-installed Windows 7 or Windows 10 as well.
