Single-board camera family mvBlueFOX-MLC is now available with a housing from machine vision specialist, Alrad Instruments. Named mvBlueFOX-IGC (Industrial Grade Compact), two models are offered with two different back planes. The first model features one Mini-USB interface, the second one a further circular connector for the digital inputs and outputs.

For both connectors, Matrix Vision provides a multitude of different cables with different lengths including bended and lockable versions, and versions suitable for drag chains.

The hardware features are the same in the MLC and the IGC: there are CMOS sensors from WideVGA up to 5MP with Global Shutter or Rolling Shutter and both high-quality C- and CS-mount lens holders are available. For the industrial integration, there exists 1/1 opto-isolated digital inputs. The cameras offer an automatic gain control (AGC), an automatic exposure control (AEC) and in some cases high dynamic range (HDR) or high sensitivity mode for low-light environments.

Aside from Linux and Windows drivers, the camera also supports DirectShow, NeuroCheck, Halcon, and LabView as well as further third-party software products and the Matrix Vision image processing library mvIMPACT.

Lasiris SNF laser can transform the familiar laser dot into a wide range of structured light patterns including single and multiple laser lines with uniformity down to ±15 per cent. Straight laser lines are projected by allowing one dimension of light to fan out while maintaining tight control over the other, resulting in a uniform sheet-of-light. What distinguishes the SNF laser from conventional lasers (with cylindrical optics) is the evenness of the illumination pattern. Lasiris lasers incorporate a patented optical laser line generator that eliminates Gaussian distribution of the light. The design is said to provide superior quality light patterns while avoiding the intricacies of installation alignment and detector calibration.
