Danfoss Drives has announced the appointment of a new Solutions Sales Manager specialising in advanced applications and hybridization solutions. Steve Moore has extensive experience in the drives industry and plans to utilise his knowledge to continue the growth for Danfoss in these exciting sectors.
Steve is a graduate of the University of Nottingham and has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He has worked in the electrical industry for 30 years and has held a variety of senior roles in the drives sector.
“My role as Solutions Sales Manager is all about increasing our market share for innovative drives applications such as low harmonic drives, multiple drive solutions for OEMs and high-power drive systems,” explained Steve. “The work of the team will typically be project-led and one of our main areas of focus will also be on hybridisation. This uses Danfoss’ excellent standard hardware but applies it in slightly unusual ways to address many of today’s most pressing energy challenges.”
“I aim to make an impact by calling on my know-how and many years of drive experience to devise solutions that will address the real needs of our customers,” he continued. “We have a very experienced and talented team, and I have every confidence that we will continue to bring on board new customers in new industry sectors.”
When not at work, Steve likes to indulge in his favourite pastime – cricket. Once a league player in both Staffordshire and Yorkshire, he is now passing on his skills to the next generation and has been an ECB qualified cricket coach in Yorkshire where he lives with his family.
