The Panasonic FP7 family of Programmable Logic Controllers is further enhanced with the addition of a new multi input/output positioning module. This unit is perfect for multi axis control of machines used for example in automatic-fabric-cutting. This FP7 expansion unit, used in combination with the FP7CPU, can control all necessary functions and tasks required for multi axis control in one module, supporting a wide range of input devices such as encoders and two-wire sensors. In addition to the 16 inputs there are an additional 16 outputs offering ultra-high-speed pulses for servo or stepper motor control, PWM control and general output switching.
High speed is its nature
The Multi I/O Positioning Unit additionally supports trapezoidal control with acceleration and deceleration. For single-axis applications, the following control methods are supported: PTP control (E point control, C point control), CP control (P point control), and speed control (J point control). For 2-axis linear interpolation, the following methods are supported: E point control, P point control, C point control, compositie speed or long axis speed setting. Setting of parameters and configuration is easy using our Control FPWIN Pro7 PLC programming software.
