Panasonic Electric Works UK Ltd will be exhibiting their LP-Z250C Laser Marker System on Stand 6E31 at the Automechnika exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham between 6th and 8th June 2017.

The LP-Z is equipped with 3D functionality and is particularly suitable for the marking of complex surfaces. The focus is adjusted automatically, guaranteeing stable energy density in the beam. This technology improves marking quality on large 2D surfaces up to a maximum of 330 x 330 mm². The LP-Z series is equipped with an encoder interface for the marking of objects moving down an automated production line. Naturally, the standard features also include the marking of various codes (Data Matrix code, various barcodes, expiration date, lot number, etc.).
Panasonic’s LP-Z series laser markers utilizes an enhancement of YAG technology called FAYb (Fiber Amplified Ytterbium). These fiber lasers provide several advantages over traditional Nd:YAG systems, such as a better beam quality, smaller housing dimensions, a significantly longer lifetime and lower fixed costs because FAYb systems consume much less power and get by with simple air cooling. Panasonic’s FAYb series of laser markers can mark nearly all metals using the laser processes of engraving or black marking (annealing). Using the laser processes of internal foaming, carbonization (color change) or bleaching, resins can be marked with outstanding quality.
