Sentech have launched and are now shipping new high resolution cameras using the latest SONY IMX250 and IMX252 Pregius sensors. The cameras feature 3.2 and 5.1 MegaPixel Global Shutter CMOS sensors in both monochrome and colour. The model numbers are, respectively, STC-M/CS322U3V and STC-MB/CS510U3V. The cameras have multiple ROI capability. Maximum frame rates are 121fps for 3.2MP camera and 75.7fps for 5.1MP camera. 8, 10 or 12 bit output is available via the USB3Vision interface. The compact size of the cameras makes them ideal for a wide range of Machine Vision applications.
EPIX introduce Silicon Video 20 Megapixel Camera Link Cameras
EPIX Inc, a well-respected manufacturer of frame grabbers and specialist cameras, have introduced a new camera model in both colour (SV20C-CL) and monochrome (SV20M-CL) versions, based on the CMOSIS CMV20000 CMOS 20MP “full-frame” sensor.
This sensor features 5120×3840 pixel resolution, with 6.4µm square pixels offering 66dB dynamic range and a pipelined global shutter. 25fps are delivered at full resolution with higher frame rates available with fewer lines.
The cameras are fitted with an F-mount as well as Trigger input and Strobe output. The interface is CameraLink with 2 MDR connectors. Operation is 80-bit CL for 25fps or Base CL for 8fps.
EPIX recommends its own (desktop) frame grabbers to guarantee 80-bit CL performance: PIXCI® E8 PCIe x8 Gen 1.1 or PIXCI® E4G2 PCIe x4 Gen 2 (see below).
EPIX include their XCAP Lite simple camera control software, but the user is urged to acquire XCAP Ltd or XCAP Std application software for advanced camera control and image acquisition and processing. Programmer Libraries are also available. Windows and Linux (32 and 64 bit) compatibility is assured.
EPIX PIXCI® E4G2 PCI Express x8 Camera Link Frame Grabber
This top-spec CameraLink grabber is recommended for use with the EPIX SV20M/C-CL cameras as well as other manufacturers’ cameras, with 80-bit, full, medium, base or dual-base interface. The grabber operates in x8 or x16 PCIe bus, offers selectable PoCL compatibility and is fitted with 2 MDR CameraLink connectors.
Sustained transfer rate of 850Mbps and 20Gbps burst DMA transfer rate are achievable. Trigger in, strobe out and general purpose I/Os are available. Software is EPIX XCAP product range.
EPIX PIXCI® E8 PCI Express x4 (Gen2) Camera Link Frame Grabber
This is another top-spec CameraLink grabber is recommended for use with the EPIX SV20M/C-CL cameras as well as other manufacturers’ cameras, with 80-bit, full, 1 or 2 medium, and 1 or 2 base interfaces. The grabber operates in x4, x8 or x16 PCIe 2.0 bus, and is fitted with 2 or 4 MDR CameraLink connectors.
Sustained transfer rate of 1400Mbps and 20Gbps burst DMA transfer rate are achievable. Trigger in, strobe out and general purpose I/Os are available. Software is EPIX XCAP product range.
