p6spsAt SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2011 held in Nuremberg last October, the automation industry was out to show its full force. In line with the record number of 1,429 exhibitors, the event also attracted more visitors than in the past: 56,321 trade visitors filled the 12 halls to gather information about the latest products and solutions in electric automation. In other words: SPS/IPC/DRIVES set a clearly positive sign for the future.

The conference which took place in parallel to the exhibition recorded an increase this year with 349 delegates attending compared to 302 last year. For three days the conference provided a platform for intensive discussions between researchers, product developers and users. The opportunities for users to exchange information and knowledge were at the heart of the newly introduced user sessions.
