As well as co-sponsoring the Bloodhound SSC Education Feature Area, STEMMER IMAGING will be showing a number of packaging inspection stations at the PPMA Total Show. Demonstrations will illustrate how subsystems for code reading and label and packaging inspection can be developed for systems integrators or OEMS.
The Bloodhound SSC Education zone will feature a full-scale model of the 135,000 bhp jet and rocket powered car, which aims to break the Land Speed Record in the next two years. STEMMER IMAGING has been involved in the Bloodhound SSC project from an early stage to develop a multi-camera video system for 25 locations around the vehicle. This can produce and record video data for both engineering and broadcast purposes, including safety-critical video streams.
The packaging inspection solutions on show include the use of compact image sensor technology which is a powerful alternative to line scan imaging. A combination of smart cameras and vision sensors will demonstrate simultaneous barcode, 2D Datamatrix code and OCR capabilities.
