STEMMER IMAGING, in collaboration with vision integrator SIGA Vision, has won the PPMA Group ‘Partnership of the Year’ award. In making the award, the judges commented: ”This is a partnership in the truest sense of the word. STEMMER IMAGING, through its size, has enabled SIGA to develop projects that could not be self-funded. In turn, SIGA has provided feedback and challenges that have allowed STEMMER IMAGING to continuously improve its products, giving great results for all of its customers.“

The award recognised the partnership between the two companies to solve complex vision inspection applications that has grown and developed during the past 5 years. Particularly strong in the pharmaceutical industry, SIGA Vision primarily develops inspection solutions using the Sherlock machine vision software platform from Teledyne DALSA and its own GUI for easy configuration.

STEMMER IMAGING has been able to provide all the technical support for Sherlock needed in addition to any vision hardware needed for individual projects. In the early days of the partnership STEMMER IMAGING was also able to help with the loan of demo equipment during the ‘proof of concept’ stage of a project.

Mark Williamson, director – Corporate Market Development at STEMMER IMAGING said: “We were delighted to win this award for the second time in three years. It is a reflection of the way that we cultivate long term relationships with OEM customers and vision integrators alike. To work with integration companies with the exceptional machine vision expertise and professional approach offered by SIGA brings a number of mutual benefits”.

“Our partnership with SIGA Vision has strengthened each year as more complex projects are successfully delivered”, he continued. “We have complete confidence that any project SIGA undertakes will be fulfilled with excellence, mirroring our own ethos of delivering the best service and solutions possible.”

The PPMA Group Awards presentations proved to be extremely busy for STEMMER IMAGING. In addition to collecting the “Partnership of the Year’ award, the company was proud that Kynan Ellen was ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ category. STEMMER IMAGING also sponsored the ‘Most Innovative Machine Vision Project’ award, which was won by Olmec-UK.
