An announcement was made at the recent PPMA Group industry Awards that the PPMA Show and the Total Processing and Packaging Exhibition will return to the sole ownership and management of the PPMA Group of Trade Associations from 2014. The events will be organised by the PPMA Group and a newly extended in-house exhibition team from their Wallington headquarters.
Explained PPMA Group CEO Chris Buxton: “Although I wasn’t present when it was conceived, the decision to enter into the agreement was correct at the time and that Reed have done a good job in managing the event for us over the past 12 years. However, it is clear that the best interests of all concerned, not least the membership, will be better served if we bring the agreement to a close. For now it is business as usual and we need to help make Total 2013 the kind of ‘recession-beating’ event that the industry needs and wants.”
