OMRON have recently launched their new NX-series NX502 automation controllers with advanced information and safety control, simultaneously with the new NX-EIP201 EtherNet/IPTM units.

Our wholly owned subsidiary, PTG Precision Engineers Ltd are investing in both new machines and people

In the last few weeks PTG selected, purchased and have already installed a brand new compact sized wire EDM for ultra-precise machining in their Plymouth based factory.

Mike Stevens Managing Director at PTG worked with Warwick Machines Tools (WMT) on the selection process and decided on an Excetek V400G Plus machine.

Mike and his team are thrilled with the machine and have already machined some parts for nuclear applications and cannot believe the finish and tolerance they are achieving without the need for grinding.

With the business thriving and with potentially more ultra-precise machining requests coming, as a result of this new investment, PTG are now looking to increase their headcount, with a particular focus on experienced grinders, turners and millers, alongside apprentices and providing work experience weeks for local students.
