~ Exclusive agreement adds rubber and elastomer injection moulding machines to TM Robotics’ portfolio ~

Industrial automation specialist TM Robotics has expanded its partnership with Shibaura Machine LWB GmbH to include vertical injection moulding machines for rubber and elastomer applications. Effective November 1, 2026, TM Robotics is the exclusive sales agent for Shibaura Machine LWB’s complete portfolio of horizontal and vertical injection moulding machines in the UK and Ireland. The expanded agreement builds on more than 25 years of collaboration between the companies.

The agreement gives manufacturers access to a broader range of injection moulding and automation technologies through a single supplier. TM Robotics will provide machinery and robot sales alongside servicing and integrated automation consultancy, supporting customers seeking individual machines or complete automated production solutions.

TM Robotics has represented Shibaura Machine, formerly Toshiba Machine, since its establishment in April 2000, initially supplying industrial robots and automation solutions across Europe. In 2022, the company became the exclusive UK and Ireland sales partner for Shibaura Machine’s all-electric injection moulding machines.

The latest agreement extends this offering beyond thermoplastics to include Shibaura Machine LWB’s vertical machines for rubber and elastomer processing. The expanded portfolio includes the EC SXIII series of all-electric injection moulding machines and the LWB VS Performance range of hydraulic vertical machines.

“We are delighted to expand our partnership with Shibaura Machine LWB,” said Nigel Smith, managing director of TM Robotics. “Having represented the company’s technologies for many years, extending our portfolio to include vertical machines for elastomer and rubber applications is a natural next step. Together with our automation expertise and strengthened sales team, we look forward to supporting existing and new customers across the UK and Ireland,” said Nigel Smith, managing director of TM Robotics.

The expanded offering will be supported by Matthew Holyoake, TM Robotics’ sales manager for injection moulding machinery. With nearly 40 years of experience in the plastics and injection moulding sector, Holyoake brings extensive industry knowledge and established relationships with UK manufacturers and suppliers.

“Continuing our successful collaboration with TM Robotics is a crucial step in strengthening our market presence in the UK and Ireland,” added Dr Georg Holzinger, managing executive officer of Shibaura Machine and managing director of Shibaura Machine LWB GmbH. “Building on more than 25 years of trust and cooperation, the expanded agreement enables us to bring our thermoplastic and elastomer injection moulding technologies to an even broader customer base.”

By combining Shibaura Machine LWB’s injection moulding technologies with TM Robotics’ automation expertise and local support, the partnership will help manufacturers access integrated solutions for plastics and elastomer processing.
