Steve Richmond, director of Jungheinrich UK’s systems and projects division, will deliver a keynote address at two conferences in June.

At the UKWA Annual Conference (Liverpool Hilton, June 10th – 12th) and at TOC Europe 2014 (Excel, London, June 24th – 26th) Steve will give a presentation that examines the changing needs of port centric intralogistics operations and how these influence the development of new materials handling technologies. His talk will focus in particular on the growing trend towards flexible, scalable automated handling systems and the advantages that such systems bring.

“The port centric logistics model presents opportunities to significantly improve logistics and supply chain operations, reducing time from ship to shelf or ship direct to consumer as well as providing cost and carbon efficient logistics operations and automated handling systems can play a significant role in fulfilling these opportunities,” he said.
