Unitronics continues to improve UniStream™ product line, launching 2 dense I/O models.
Unitronics, an industry leader in the development and manufacture of integrated PLC + HMI controllers, recently launched 2 new dense I/O models for the UniStream line. By enabling users to implement more I/O points in less space, these two new dense I/O models improve the flexibility of UniStream platform and help users to reduce the overall system costs. The new models offered are UID-W1616T and UID-W1616R. The former includes 16 transistor, pnp or npn inputs and 16 pnp outputs, the latter includes 16 Relay, pnp or npn inputs and 16 outputs both 24VDC.
The UniStream line is the result of over 20 years of experience with PLC development, combined with the strongest new trends in automation. UniStream™ is the top of its class with powerful dual CPU, sleek HMI touch panels, and a variety of I/O options. The user can create a customized, all-in-one controller by snapping in the CPU and I/O modules to the HMI of their choice. The UniStream™ gives OEMs and systems integrators a competitive edge, enabling them to cut costs, save space and significantly lower programming time.
In concert with the launch of these two dense I/O models, Unitronics has also launched a 15.6″ HMI panel for the UniStream series. With 7″, 10.4″ and now 15.6” HMI panels, Unitronics believes it offers coverage for all major segments of the market.UniStream™ provides programmers and machine builders with one of the best user experiences on the market today. The intuitive UniLogic™ studio software cuts programming time by 50%, by predicting the programmer’s intentions and reusing written code. Programmers build a library of user-defined function blocks and HMI screens which can be imported to new projects or shared with other programmers. The software’s predictive capabilities save a significant amount of time defining I/O points, PIDs and other functions. Features like drag and drop, automatic line creation and re-use options for existing code make programming quick and easy.
UniStream™ supports RS485, CANopen, UniCAN, and MODBUS (serial and Ethernet). Unistream™ can adapt to third-party protocols; the USB and serial ports support external devices such as modems, printers, barcode readers and more.
Recently, Unitronics released great new features for UniStream like a video player and new HMI widgets. Additionally, Unitronics introduces a .pdf Viewer, which enables users to page through .pdf files on the UniStream HMI panel. Other features include attractive, polished-looking gauges, handy Find & Replace tags support, and more.
