A convincing solution concept for power feed-in and distribution in the panel.
Weidmüller has expanded its Klippon® Connect terminal block range to include its new A2C 35 high-current terminal family for wire cross-sections of up to 35 mm2. Incorporating the PUSH IN power connection with actuation lever means that wires of up to 35 mm2 can be connected in seconds – the lever is simply pressed with a screwdriver to establish a long-lasting, gas-tight and vibration-proof connection. When the lever is closed, the wire can be inserted directly into the contact point without the need for any tools. The PUSH IN power connection guarantees a high level of flexibility during the wiring process, while also maintaining process reliability. The high-current terminals are available in different mounting variants: for terminal-rail mounting and direct mounting, as well as for use as pre-assembled feed-in blocks for various network systems. Additionally, the high-current terminals can be cross-connected and are suitable for testing. A two-pin auxiliary connection allows for a separate voltage tap, eg. for an emergency power supply upstream from the main switch.
The function-oriented Klippon® Connect application program means that precisely tailored solutions can be implemented for recurring applications, in particular, for power feed-in and distribution. Indeed, the new A2C 35 high-current terminal family is a tailored application product designed to increase productivity and security in panel building. Its product functions are specially adapted to the application field, for efficiency benefits in all phases of panel building. The key component of the A2C 35 terminals is the innovative PUSH IN power connection that can be used to wire even stranded wires with a single lever movement. With the PUSH IN power connection, multiple compression springs create a powerful clamping effect with minimal actuation force. Additional specifications include: rated voltage 1000 V AC/1500 V DC and a rated current of 125 A.
The A2C 35 high-current terminals also boast a range of additional practical highlights: the internal standard test point, for example, allows for quick and simple testing using standard test plugs. The two-pin auxiliary connection allows for a separate voltage tap, eg. as an emergency power supply upstream from the main switch, or for the operation of a service socket and/or panel lighting, or can be used as a signal pick-up or for looping in surge protection. The option of potential distribution for the high-current terminals constitutes another tailored solution. The “step down” cross-sections allow for feed-in on terminal blocks with cross-sections of 10 mm2 and 16 mm2. This practical option means that the current can be quickly and easily distributed in the panel. No additional wiring is required.
The A2C 35 high-current terminals are available in a wide range of variants: for terminal-rail mounting and direct mounting on mounting plates, as well as for use as pre-assembled feed-in blocks designed for various network systems. Customers can use three–pole, four-pole and five-pole block variants, i.e. L1, L2, L3 or L1, L2, L3 and N, as well as L1, L2, L3, N and PE. Pre-assembled feed-in blocks reduce the number of variants as well as storage costs. They are also quick and easy to mount, either by snapping onto a TS 35 terminal rail or screwing onto a mounting plate using an integrated base strap.
Weidmüller has fitted out its A2C 35 high-current terminal family with precisely co-ordinated accessories for standard-compliant mounting. When mounting terminal blocks and assembling panels, you must always be able to rely on perfectly fitting accessories. Only then do processes run smoothly and productively. The requirements placed on terminal rails, cross-connectors, cover plates and auxiliary connections are correspondingly high. The wide range of accessories in the Klippon® Connect range have been perfectly coordinated right down to the last detail, ensuring easier mounting as well as compliance with the required standards and protection provisions.
Last but not least: Klippon® Connect high-current terminals support then entire panel building process thanks to their impressive concept. Whether through simple handling when connecting the wires, more space in the panel or time savings during installation, Klippon® Connect makes a significant contribution towards increasing productivity, efficiency and safety.
