The all-black X3 HMI panels, ranging from 7 to 21 inches, are perfectly designed for general manufacturing, marine and rugged applications and offer a wide range of certifications. The X3 series embodies Beijer Electronics’ dedication to quality and ease of use, combining the popular features of the X2 families with exciting new innovations.
OS3, the robust and versatile operating system
X3 offers an open platform, introducing OS3, the operating system for an enriched software experience. When it comes to configuring your HMI, the OS3 operating system ensures a smooth journey. It’s intuitive and straightforward. In addition, OS3 will support container technologies unlocking endless possibilities for software applications.
Fortified cybersecurity for a secure future
We are committed to IEC 62443 compliance as we improve our HMI platform’s security and reliability. X3 will feature advanced cybersecurity, using advanced software, encryption, and protective measures. Balancing openness with strong defenses ensures a secure, reliable platform.
A seamless transition with enhanced capabilities
Designed for easy transition, the X3 series maintains identical cut-out sizes and connector types as the X2 series, minimizing installation adjustments. Projects can be quickly converted into iX3 projects, and NuGet simplifies the process for older C# scripts. Even if you’re transitioning from a different manufacturer’s HMI, moving to X3 is simple and well worth the effort.
New possibilities with iX3 and WebIQ
The X3 series is supported by the upgraded iX3 software tool, which includes an updated user interface and new functions such as NuGet support, improved charts, a modern component library, SVG support, GIT-friendly projects, an HTML5 browser, secure file transfer as well as additional improvements such as improved trend viewer, user authentication methods as Active Directory, ADFS, On Entra, etc.
The WebIQ software enhances your options further and is a perfect fit for the X3 web HMIs. WebIQ is built with open web technologies (OPC-UA, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) and supports responsive layouts, so your HMI will work on your machine as well as on your tablet.
Availability
The launch of the X3 series will begin in Q4 2024, starting with the X3 pro web. Following this, other X3 HMIs will be released in a phased rollout. The X3 launch marks a significant milestone for Beijer Electronics as we continue to lead the industry with cutting-edge technology and user-centric design.
