Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, Future Robotics returns on Wednesday 18 September at The Slate, Warwick University for a unique one-day event. Seminars
The focused seminar programme will feature a number of the industry’s leading figures, including a keynote from BARA (British Automation and Robot Association) president, Mike Wilson. Omron’s Dan Rossek will discuss the evolution of factory intralogistics for the 4IR. Following this, Suryansh Chandra from Automata will explain why he’s on a mission to democratise robotics and Peter Williamson from RARUK will debate the choice robots available. Delegates will also hear presentations from representatives of OAL, SICK UK and Sigmatek, with hot topics ranging from ingredient handling and processing with robotics, to the options for wireless HMI for robots.
GAMBICA’s chief executive, Steve Brambley, will start the afternoon session with a keynote on how automation can save jobs, lives and the planet. After this, David Collier of Pilz Automation Technology will show how to make a robot application safe and Alan Oakley from KUKA Robotics UK take a short look at three ways in which robots will be used in the future.
The final presentation of the day will be from Vanessa Whiteley of igus, who intends to outline key features of the igus Low Cost Automation project, focusing on the newest product in its range: the drylin delta robot.
These presentations will be delivered from some of the foremost robotics experts, manufacturers and suppliers, who will share with delegates ‘real world’ case studies, to help build an informative picture of both current and future robotic solutions.
