Hybrid Solutions Group has launched Fridai, a new operational intelligence business designed to help growing companies automate manual processes, improve visibility across their operations and scale without adding headcount.

Built by operators for operators, Fridai uses purpose-built AI agents to take on repetitive operational work including scheduling, coordination, follow-up, reporting and handovers.

Initially focussed on engineering, infrastructure and other field-service-led businesses, Fridai is aimed at organisations where growth typically brings with it more scheduling, coordination, administration and operational complexity.

The business has 22 agents already in production across real-world operations, with the technology designed to connect with existing business systems and deploy in weeks rather than months.

Its AI agents are designed to automate routine processes such as chasing job updates, re-keying information between systems, writing reports, following up unpaid invoices, copying quotes into job cards and chasing engineers for paperwork.

The technology also gives businesses greater visibility across their operations, using exception alerts, process traceability, pattern recognition and escalation controls to identify where problems are occurring and route exceptions to the right people.

Kyle Jones, co-founder of Fridai, said:

“There is a huge amount of conversation about what AI could do for businesses, but for many operators the real question is much simpler – what can it actually take off my team’s plate today?

“We’ve built Fridai around the operational problems businesses are dealing with every day – people spending hours chasing updates, moving information between systems, following up paperwork and trying to spot problems before they hit the bottom line.

“The opportunity isn’t to replace the people who understand the operation, it’s to remove the repetitive work around them so they can spend their time on the things that really need their experience and judgement.”

Rather than starting with the technology, Fridai’s approach begins by mapping how an organisation’s existing processes operate before identifying where agents can be deployed.

The platform operates across four core connected layers. Its data layer connects existing CRM, finance, scheduling and communications systems; its agent layer manages tasks, decisions, handovers and escalations; orchestration allows agents to work across workflows; and its intelligence layer provides dashboards, alerts and pattern recognition to give leadership teams real-time visibility.

Kyle Jones continued:

“One of the biggest barriers for businesses is knowing AI has potential but not knowing where to begin. Our approach is deliberately the other way around, we don’t start with the technology, we start with the problem.

“If an operational process is taking too much time, creating unnecessary cost or repeatedly going wrong, that is where the conversation begins, the technology comes afterwards.”

Fridai can work with platforms including AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, Google, Xero, Simpro, BigChange, Dext and MRI. The business sits within Hybrid Solutions Group, a diversified engineering, infrastructure and technology organisation, which has grown from £2.7m to a projected £11m in five years.
