The mvBlueLYNX-X is the next generation of the successful MATRIX VISION intelligent camera product line. The CPU core is based on the state-of-the-art ARM technology with up to 1 GHz target clock and image processing acceleration by DSP coprocessor for parallel handling of multiple pixels. The system is ideally suited for the classical areas of machine vision, the large processing power and high-end display and graphics capability make it perfect for many other application areas.
There is:-
- no task too complex,
- no detail too insignificant,
- no task too fast and,
- no workspace too small.
At the same time, the camera:-
- has low cost of ownership (TCO),
- is modest in power consumption (<5W), carries out tasks remotely.
LED Illumination for Machine Vision
DCM SISTEMES has a wide range of standard products for Machine Vision, developed with the most advanced LED technology. Their comprehensive range of products offers many different solutions. In this newsletter we feature two advanced ringlights suitable for machine vision applications.
Direct Ringlights
These systems light from the camera axis. They provide a huge amount of light so can be used at a greater working distance than the diffused light. They are designed to give a clear image of shadows, textures and edges in the object being viewed. Many different sizes are available to suit specific camera and object sizes.
These ringlights provide an ideal frontal diffuse light to obtain great contrast and uniformity. Placed on camera axis they allow the illumination of reflecting objects making textures uniform, eliminating reflections and reducing shadows.
TPL Vision provide solutions for Machine Vision Lighting
The XBAR high power LED light line offers an ideal lighting solution for use with both linescan and area scan cameras in a variety of machine vision applications. The light output can be continuous or strobed. The units are easy to install and give good homogeneity. Different wavelengths are available with a choice of angles of illumination and housing lengths. XBAR is excellent for use with wide objects making it ideal for Robotics and packaging applications. An RGB version of the light is available for colour linescan cameras and can drive 7 different colours.
This is just one of many products available from TPL VISION for Machine Vision lighting – all featuring state-of-the-art high-power high-intensity LEDs.
SenTech High Definition Colour Camera – the digital camera with direct output to a HDMI Monitor
How many times have you wanted the images from a digital camera displayed directly on a monitor? The problem has always been the need for a computer and frame grabber to capture the images. Now with SENTECH STC-HD133DV HD Digital Output cameras you can directly connect to a TFT monitor using a standard HDMI cable – and view in 720p High Definition resolution.
But this is no ordinary digital camera. It is available in both cased and board versions, delivering either 50 or 60 frames per second at a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, which makes it compatible with nearly all standard HD monitors. It uses the standard C-mount lens mount, behind which a 1/3” format colour CCD sensor ensures highly detailed image generation. The cased version of the camera measures only 40x40x46mm. The camera is powered via a standard 12VDC supply.
An interface connector on the backplate allows the camera to communicate with a PC to allow a wide-range of parameter setting by using the optional interface converter and application software. Alternatively, a more limited range of parameters can be controlled directly from an optional custom mini keyboard, without a need for a PC. Either method ensures optimisation of camera properties to very specific applications. Some of special features thus available include the integrated line, mask and pseudo colour generators as well as storage capacity for 28 DSP presets. Furthermore, a particular function – for instance “Push to Set White Balance” – can be assigned to a button on the back of the camera, allowing direct access to the selected function.
We see this surprisingly affordable camera as particularly suited for macro- and microscopy applications, such as small component assembly, Quality Control, biomedical and teaching.
