Leading industrialists attending Forcam’s twelfth International Productivity event in Germany are keen to see a similar high-level gathering in the UK in 2016. Increasing productivity in manufacturing, becoming more competitive and securing jobs were the central topics at the September symposium in Ludwigsburg, Germany that examined all aspects of manufacturing digitisation by the application of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
Smart factory specialists Forcam were hosts to numerous multinational clients including BorgWarner, Buehler AG, Grammer Ag, Mann+Hummel, National Oilwell Varco (USA) and consulting firm CSC. During the one day event, the group shared their experiences in integrating the industrial internet with manufacturing processes to achieve higher plant use, reduce waste, become more agile and responsive to client demands and boost competitiveness.
Andrew Steele, the UK managing director commented, “This was a highly engaged conference with leading industrialists and academics sharing their knowledge and experience to gain a greater insight. We are planning to host an event in June 2016 in the UK.”
