PHOTONEX SCOTLAND is being held at the University of Strathclyde on the 14th June. This is an opportunity to see new products and discuss your application with our experienced technical sales staff. ALRAD will be on stand S16.
Industrial cameras from The Imaging Source
The Imaging Source has launched cameras which feature the second-generation Sony Pregius global-shutter CMOS sensors IMX264,IMX265, IMX250 and IMX252
The cameras, available in colour and monochrome models, can have either USB 3.0, or GigE interface standards.
The cameras will suit applications which require a high-sensitivity and low-noise global-shutter, for example, in the case of moving objects such as found in traffic control (ITS), inspection tasks and automation. The sensors offer functionality such as variable shutter speeds, read-out and trigger options.
The cameras are designed to be robust and can be easily combined with a variety of their low-priced standard industrial lenses.
All cameras are shipped with drivers for LabView, HALCON, MERLIC, VisionPro, DirectX, Twain, and NeuroCheck. They are also shipped with Driver for Windows XP, Vista, 7/8/10, and the SDK IC Imaging Control 3.2 (.NET and C++ library) and IC Capture.
Bitflow offers a wide range of frame grabber drivers for Third Party imaging software.
While some customers prefer to write their own image processing software, many prefer to take advantage of the years of experience offered by companies that specialize in imaging software. BitFlow supports both types of customers with our full featured SDK for customers wanting to do their own coding, and full set of 3rd party drivers for the most popular image processing and machine vision applications.
Drivers are available for off-the-shelf 3rd party applications such as A&B Software’s ImageWarp, Cognex’s Vision Pro, MVTec’s HALCON, The Mathworks MATLAB, National Instrument’s LabView, NorPix’s StreamPix, IO Industries’ Streams and Common Vision Blox. Finally, BitFlow provides a TWAIN driver. TWAIN is an image acquisition standard used by hundreds of applications.
All of BitFlow’s third party drivers have been optimised for ease of use, fast acquisition, and minimal CPU usage. They have worked hard to make these drivers deliver images to your application as quickly as the application can take them. All of their drivers support all of their current product families. This means that you only need one driver for a given application regardless of which or our frame grabbers you are using. All of these drivers require that the latest BitFlow SDK be installed on your computer. However, you can use the drivers only version of the SDK which is free and can be downloaded from this site.
Remote head camera system for those tight spots
The Peerless Creations HD15 remote head camera is designed for those imaging applications where space is at a premium and you want to use standard lenses. It incorporates an off the shelf M12 standard lens mount that not only reduces cost, but allows for quick deployment of a well designed imaging system.
This camera is perfect for covert missions, pipe inspection, endoscopy, aerospace, security, process inspection and many more. The camera control units (CCU) come in two different configurations. One with portable capabilities utilizing a battery pack and a desktop version. Both units have the capabilities to:
• Playback video
• File control
• Resolution control
• Video segmenting
• Exposure control
• Light frequency control & illumination control
• Record onto 64GB MicroSD card
** CCU, lenses, and cabling not included
ELiiXA+ 4k mono and colour with NBASE-T connection
No frame grabber required
Teledyne e2v’s next generation of line scan cameras are setting new, high standards for line rate and image quality. Due to Teledyne e2v’s recently developed multi-line CMOS technology, the cameras provide high line rates and combine high response with extremely low noise levels. This delivers high signal to noise ratio even when short integration times are required or when illumination is limited. The 5µm pixel size is arranged in two active lines and dual line filter configuration allows the camera to be operated in several modes.
The availability of the ELiiXA+ cameras with an NBASE-T™ connection offers a straightforward solution, providing:
• High throughput – enabling high resolution and colour imaging without a frame grabber at speeds of up to 5 Gigabits per second (Gbps) over Category 5e standard Ethernet cable
• Easy integration – compatible with GigE Vision protocol
• Long-length (100 meters+), field terminable, inexpensive cabling reduces costs and enables easier integration in imaging systems compared with optic fibre cabling
Less expensive single line scan UNiiQA+ cameras are also available
with an NBASE-T connection from June 2017.
Multiple area of interest capability using the Matrix Vision MvBlueFOX3
The Matrix Vision MvBlueFOX3 with Sony Pregius sensors allows users to select several areas of interest from the images. Whether used for monitoring, in transport applications or in other fields of use it is often interesting to have several image areas at once in one image, yet the transfer of the entire image is excessive. With the new “MultiAOI Feature”, you can easily define the areas of the image relevant to you using a Wizard. Therefore you are able to considerably simplify your image sequence, save on bandwidth and consequently make it possible to achieve a higher frame rate.
