The Instrumentation Excellence Awards, organised by Instrumentation Monthly publisher Datateam Business Media, took place under the chandeliers of the Grand Connaught Rooms on 19th October. The Awards celebrated the very best professionals, products, projects and companies from across the test, measurement, sensing and control sectors. The glittering event, hosted by celebrities Shaun Williamson and Alan Dedicoat, was a real celebration of the instrumentation sector with live entertainment, a delicious meal and a disco. We’d like to thank all of our amazing sponsors for their support, and without whom, we couldn’t have put on these awards. The evening kicked off with the Cables and Connectors Product of the Year, with PicoMQS Miniaturized Automotive Connector System, TE Connectivity being named highly commended, and EVF Cables, ifm electronics being crowned our first winner.

Next up was the Calibration Product of the Year, with 4610M, Transmille Ltd placing as highly commended, and the Druck DPI 610E Series Handheld Pressure Calibrator, Druck taking home the trophy!

The Cases and Enclosures Product of the Year was next, with the Hygienic Enclosure, Leybold being awarded the trophy, and NEO Protective Enclosure, FIBOX, placing as highly commended.

RVG200 Touchscreen Paperless Recorder, ABB Measurement & Analytics was crowned the winner for the DAQ Product of the Year, with the nanoDAQ-LTS, Chell Instruments being named as highly commended.

The Flow, Level and Control Product of the Year was awarded to Rosemount1208 Level and Flow Transmitter, Emerson, with the highly commended being given to Type 6757 Whisper Valve, Burkert Fluid Control Systems.

The Gas Detection Product of the Year was next, with Alphasense 100% Leak Free O2 Sensors taking home the trophy, whilst MobileGuard, HoverGuard, and MicroGuard, ABB Measurement & Analytics, placed as highly commended.

Single-pair Power over Ethernet Power Source and Powered Device (LTC4296-1/LTC9111), Analog Devices Inc, placed as highly commended in the IoT Product of the Year, with TAS Turck Automation Suite, Turck Banner being crowned the winner.

Moving on, the Monitoring & Metering Product of the Year was next, with EXO2S Water Quality Sonde & PeliNet with HydroSphere smart alarm cloud visualisation platform, Xylem Environmental Solutions UK taking the accolade home, and ART Sewer- IoT Wastewater Level Monitoring solution, Metasphere Ltd placing as highly commended.

The confocalDT 2410/2415: Next-generation confocal sensor system, Micro-Epsilon UK Ltd was awarded the trophy for Sensor Product of the Year, whilst Alphasense A+/B+ smart sensors were awarded highly commended.

The Signal Conditioning Product of the Year was up next, with TA487 IEPE Signal Conditioner, Pico Technology placing as highly commended, and AD8479, Analog Devices being crowned the winner.

The Software Solution of the Year was awarded to PicoScope 7 oscilloscope software, Pico Technology, with Indysoft Europe Ltd being named as highly commended.

Test & Measurement Product of the Year went to ABB NINVA, ABB Measurement & Analytics, whilst highly commended was awarded to IT2800 Graphical Source Measure Unit, ITECH Electronics.

ThermoView TV30 thermal camera, Fluke Process Instruments took home the trophy for the Thermal Imaging Product of the Year, whilst SurfaceCONTROL 3D, Micro-Epsilon UK Ltd placed highly commended.

The Digital Transformation Award was next, with Metapshere Ltd being awarded highly commended, whilst VEGA Controls Ltd took home the accolade.

Best Marketing Campaign was awarded to Pulsar Measurement, with VEGAPULS 6X, VEGA Controls receiving highly commended. Farnell picked up the award for Distributor of the Year, whilst the highly commended was given to Mouser Electronics.

Excellence In Innovation was the next category, with Pulsar Measurement being named as highly commended, whilst Analog Devices Inc took home the win. ABB Measurement & Analytics were crowned the Manufacturer of the year, with Alphasense being recognised as highly commended.

The PR Agency of the Year was next, with DMA Europa Ltd being awarded the accolade, whilst Napier placed as Highly Commended. Our penultimate category, the Sustainability Award, was won by Vaisala, with Mouser Electronics and Analog Devices Inc being named highly commended.

Our final award of the night was the Industry Personality Award, which was won by Amina Hamidi, PhD, from ABB Measurement & Analytics.

The 2024 awards ceremony will return to the Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden on Thursday 24th October and will once again take place alongside the Electronics Industry Awards making it the night of the year for networking.
