A simple smart sensor solution from Datalogic. The Data VS1, an easy 3 step set-up, is ideal for presence/absence verification, position and object counting as well as Optical Character Recognition (OCR). The setup does not require a PC and comes complete with it’s VSC unit, an external configurator with a 3.5? colour display screen.
MVTec’s HALCON 11 Image processing Software with enhanced 3D tools and the new ‘Sample-based identification’ tool capable of differentiating a large number of objects. This technology can recognise trained objects based on characteristic features like colour or texture only, thereby eliminating the need to use special imprints like bar codes or data codes for object identification purposes. This even works with warped objects or varying perspective views of the object, for example a label on a bottle.
Hi-Brite Smart lighting from Microscan gives perfect results with a built-in controller to adjust intensity continuous mode and high output strobe mode for a complete and easily integrated solution; plus a flexible lighting solution for tight corners is created with the Cobra-flexi line light from ProPhotonex. Super bright illumination produced with a ‘chip-on-board method’ resulting in an extremely high level of uniformity perfect for web inspection.
