A new generation of M18 photo sensors from Omron is now available with a rugged metal housing for applications that require an extra level of mechanical protection.
Complementing the recent launch of the E3FA plastic body M18 photo sensor, the E3FB range allows usage in harsh environments but still provides identical detection capabilities and the same product type line-up.
Suitable for applications in all industries, the new E3FB photoelectric sensors offer high reliability, enhanced EMC protection, high ambient light immunity and robust waterproof housings, meaning they can meet the requirements of today’s users for non-stop operation.
The new sensors feature compact construction, allowing them to be fitted easily even where space is limited, and a bright LED light source that is clearly visible over long distances, enabling easy alignment and long sensing distance.
The diverse product line-up includes all the standard sensor types including thru-beam, retro-reflective, diffuse and background suppression types. Special models are also available for stable transparent object detection and a limited distance reflective model which provides detection of films, including transparent or mirror finish, without the need for a reflector.
