European Automation, the supplier of industrial automation parts, has opened a new 10,000ft2 warehouse in Fenton, one of the six towns of Stoke-on-Trent. The new site will provide even faster delivery of components such as inverters, motors and PLCs to a growing range of clients worldwide.
European Automation is currently the only company in Europe offering a nine hour premium delivery service. The company delivers to over 220 countries and territories around the globe. It is particularly focused on providing frequently used parts, such as the Siemens Simatic S5, as well as components that are very difficult to find.
The new warehouse facility allows European Automation to acquire and stock a larger number of spare parts, particularly old generation or obsolete automation components. This, in turn, means its consultants will save time when locating a part for their customers. The central location of the warehouse is also convenient, particularly for UK deliveries.

“Traditional drop shipping techniques mean that a certain amount of time has to be allocated to identifying a product and purchasing it from a third party,” explained Mark Proctor, managing director of European Automation. “We will now be able to skip this phase by keeping a substantial stockholding in the new warehouse and simply shipping the parts, whenever and wherever our clients need them.”
“The decision to open the warehouse came as a response to a steady growth in the UK, European and global markets,” added Jonathan Wilkins, head of marketing at the firm. “The company has reached a stage where our dedicated multilingual customer service and support team are making so many sales that a bigger stock, which can be accessed at any time, is essential.”
