The triflex RSP (Retraction System Pneumatic) from igus is an adjustable retraction system for the safe and consistent cable and hose guidance on multi-axis robot. This product will be one of the highlights of the company’s stand at the MACH 2012 exhibition.
For use in conjunction with igus triflex R energy chains, the triflex RSP is both lightweight and space-saving. By applying a constant retraction force from a pneumatic cylinder, with retraction lengths of around 500mm, the triflex RSP ensures safe and consistent cable and hose guidance.
The triflex RSP can be integrated quickly and easily to various robot models, from small welding robots to large palletising robots, allowing heavy fill weights and complex movements. The benefits are said to be: Adjustable retraction force; Constant force curve along the entire movement. Higher cable carrier fill weights possible; Compact design; Mounting solutions for various robot types and manufacturers.
