The programme for the Stemmer Imaging Open Day 2012 on 12th September has now been announced. Featuring over 20 of the world’s leading vision technology providers and with 30 seminars running over 6 concurrent tracks, this promises to be the largest UK event in 2012 purely for imaging and machine vision technology. This unique opportunity to learn about machine vision & discuss applications and technologies features taster sessions for those new to the technology and more technical sessions for machine vision veterans.

The Open Day will be held at Stemmer Imagings newly refurbished and expanded UK premises in Tongham. Surrey. The day is split in to eight sessions where visitors can choose one of 6 track options on each session. Some sessions that are expected to be popular are repeated. Each track has a theme as follows:

Track 1 Camera technologies
Track 2 Acquisition and software technologies
Track 3 Machine vision solutions
Track 4 Machine vision training
Track 5 Lights, lenses and components for machine vision
Track 6 Exhibition and talk with the experts

In this way, attendees can choose the sessions that are most applicable for their needs or simply talk with experts in the exhibition area throughout the day. This ‘mix and match’ approach is designed to ensure that each attendee gets exactly what they want and need from the day.

Topics covered will range some of the latest developments in machine vision hardware and software, including the new USB 3.0, CoaXPress and Camera link HS interfaces and a master class for Common Vision Blox, Stemmer Imagings own Vision Development Environment. For people taking the first steps in learning about machine vision there will be a training taster program from the European Imaging Academy along with seminars about easy to use vision systems.

Demand is expected to be high and places are limited. Early registration (by clicking on the ‘Open Day’ link from the Stemmer homepage, www.stemmer-imaging.co.uk) is recommended to secure the preferred choice of seminars. The full agenda and detailed synopsis of each session will also be made available for download from this link.
