Join us at PHOTONEX 2014 to be held at the Ricoh Centre in Coventry on 15th and 16th October 2014. Alrad have two stands at the exhibition. See ALRAD IMAGING on stand C21 and ALRAD PHOTONICS on stand C22. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the latest products from both divisions.

As a leading UK supplier of Machine Vision and Imaging products Alrad is proud to present two presentations during the PHOTONEX seminar programmes.

The first is part of the Application Vision Master class. At 10.50am each day Ian Alderton will give a presentation entitled Cooled cameras for scientific applications and astronomy.

The second is part of the Vision Technology Master class. At 14.40 each day Raf  Slotwinski will give a presentation on Optics, recent changes with the new sensor sizes and telecentric lenses for measurement applications.

Please join us for both of these interesting and informative presentations.

Aspen cooled CCD camera systems offer more flexibility

The Aspen® cooled camera system is the newest in design innovation from Apogee Imaging Systems. Aspen increases cooling performance in a smaller package, improves stray light baffling, adds a Network interface with a built-in web server, supports dual output CCDs up to 16MHz and sets a new standard in shutter reliability. All Aspen systems are backed by a 2 year warranty on the camera and lifetime warranty on the CCD chamber integrity.

Apogee Imaging Systems are ideal for a wide range of spectroscopy, life science and astronomy applications as well as offering the possibility for OEM designs.

New products to celebrate 15 years of DCM Systems supporting the Industrial Vision market

New PRC0604C with IP67

DCM range of compact high-powered projectors has grown up with this new PRC, even more compact, more powerful and with iBlueDrive technology integrated inside. Its main feature is that it is available with IP67. NPN or PNP input signals with ultra-fast ON/OFF control, which increases its usability and gives it great versatility.

New PRH Series

New focused projectors series designed for those applications that need great amount of light on a small area, emphasizing texture or relief. It is also available in IP67. NPN or PNP input signals with ultra-fast ON/OFF control. Visit DCM website to see all features of this new powerful, robust and versatile projector.

New customizable PRL

New PRL Series line projector designed for line-scan cameras, or darkfield illumination with area-scan cameras.  The design consists of 200mm factory assembled modules, designed to link to give the required length for each application while preserving homogeneity of illumination.

Coherent StingRay Structured Light Pattern Generating Lasers are ideal for Machine Vision applications

Coherent StingRay is a diode-laser based line generator system which delivers enhanced flexibility, output optimization capability, and extended lifetime.   StingRay enables the construction of faster and more accurate machine vision systems that utilize 3D triangulation.

The StingRay series mates a diode laser with high performance electronics and precision refractive optics for collimation and line generation covering the widest available range of fan angles.  They also incorporate optional diffractive elements for creating complex output patterns.  StingRay models are available with output powers as high as 200 mW, at key wavelengths from 514 nm to 830 nm including the popular 635 nm and 660 nm lines.

The latest development of the StingRay platform provides an alternative configuration where a separate driver module is offered, enabling the shortened laser head to suit more applications where space is at a premium.

Features offered by both the ‘standard’ and ‘separate driver’ models:

  • Line Uniformity up to 95% on 100% of the line
  • External non-rotational user focus
  • Microprocessor controlled
  • Constant power to 500kHz via external photo feedback
  • Optional RS-232 communication with GUI interface
  • Advanced Service monitor for remote system monitoring
  • Common footprint
  • Dynamic line balancing
  • Wavelengths from 520 to 830 nm
  • Power from 1 to 200 mW

A multi-functional controller interface provides feedback, status and control for the laser, as well as safety features that comply with end-use applications.

Greenteg radiation detectors and position sensors

Wide band thermal detectors

Greenteg gSKIN radiation detectors are highly sensitive thermal detectors with a flat sensitivity curve across a broad spectral range up to 15 microns. They are ultra low noise devices with a fast response and compact design. They can measure between 100µW to 16W, with a linear power response.

Position sensors for laser applications

The new gSKIN position sensors give absolute power sensing of laser beams using a highly sensitive thermopile sensor. They are sensitive to all wavelengths from UV to mid IR and have a wide power range from µW to Watts. They are tolerant to beam angle and have a compact and robust design for system integration.
